About me

From Tier 1 to building the tools

How it started

My first job in tech was Tier 1 support at Skyrunner Internet in Asheville, North Carolina — answering calls, running diagnostics, handling the frontline work every ISP depends on. Before that, a technology internship with the City of Asheville had me imaging laptops and running a help desk through citywide outages. Good work. Repetitive work. The kind of work that teaches you exactly which parts of a job don't need a human.

The automation that changed everything

So I automated mine. Using n8n, I built a workflow that handled the repetitive core of my role — and one day my CEO overheard me talking about it and came over to see. That conversation became a mentorship. His advice has shaped how I build ever since: keep a keen eye on the things people are too lazy to do but that are critical — documentation, tracking, record-keeping — and sell the solution to tedious problems that waste people's resources. Convenience is the product.

Where I am now

Today I work for Skyrunner remotely from Burlington, Vermont as a Technology Support Specialist — writing Python scripts for automated equipment testing, building fiber-tracking automation, and training teammates on AI processes. I'm also working alongside Skyrunner's senior software engineers on Skyline, a cloud inventory platform that automatically provisions routers, built to replace a third-party tool that costs ISPs thousands per month. On the side, I run Weboira Designs, building websites for local businesses, and I'm pursuing an A.A.S. in Artificial Intelligence at A-B Tech, with CompTIA A+, Adobe Certified Expert, and AWS Certified AI Practitioner certifications.
